Relays provide a “dry contact” interface to ancillary equipment that must be controlled or provide a method to sense the state of monitored equipment.  Relays generally fall in these categories.

Small “flying lead” style PAM series .  Often used to monitor end of line power on 4 wire detector circuits.

General purpose MR100-200 series.  Often used to control air conditioning equipment that my be shut down by interrupting a low voltage control wire.

Heavy duty MR-110 series with 20 amp fuse protected contacts.

Open Frame MR-199 series 30 amp contacts.

All relays shown are made by Air Products and Controls, Inc.  Further information may be found at their web site.
